7-8 B Boys Information
by posted 04/25/2012

Hello all,

Thank you for your patience as we near the start of the season for the 7/8 boys B teams. We have been working through team and field logistics up until now but are ready to get started.

We will have the two teams at the 7-8 B level allowing us to provide opportunities for more boys to play then we did last year.  We are very proud of our head coaches once again this year;  one of the coaches is Ted Sperides and the other is Scott Starks. Ted has coached for UMD’s program, BYLA for several years and coaches for Team MN U13. Scott Starks played at UMD, and is currently the recruiting coordinator for UMD and has experience coaching with elite teams. For any other organization these two would be coaching the A team.

We will be splitting the 7-8 boys into two groups (these are NOT their teams but simply groups for practices). The one group will practice from 5:30-6:15 and the other from 6:15-7:00. There will be an email later this week the groups. Our plan is to for the boys practice together for a couple of weeks and then split the teams to make two equitable teams.

All practices will be held at Hillcrest Elementary-9301 Thomas Ave.

Currently scheduled practice dates as follows:
April 30th, May 2,3,9,10,14,16,21,23,24,30,31

Players need to be warmed up and ready to go at their start times

Group 1 5:30-6:15pm  - Ian Gonyea, Henry Greelis, Jason Karau, Charlie Kavoukjian, Thomas Kunnasery, Luke Vaugn, Jack Hedrick, Kyle Thomsom, Caleb Margota, Alex Quinn, Matt Erickson, Jacob Hilger, David Beacom, Christian Johnson, Ben Obermeyer, Karl Huther, Ray Smith, Will Harris, Noah Bandt

Group 2 6:15-7:00pm - Jacob Marshall, Nathan Noma, Edgerton Choudek, Matt Kalkman, Bob Lescarbeau, Josh Roers, Meylin Klin, Drew Bianchini, Caleb Miller, Auggie Moore, Charlie McNamara, Princeton Oppong, Nick Wallace, Alan Wheeler, Reese Devries, Erik Allen, Josh Magnus, Henry Reine

Ted Sperides will be running these practices along with a couple of other guest coaches until all the members of both the 7-8 coaching staffs are back and available.

In an effort to be as efficient with both groups of boys please have your son ready to go promptly at his slotted starting time.

Easton Raptor Helmet Recall
by posted 03/07/2012

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY RECALL OF RAPTOR LACROSSE HELMET

This is a notice that Easton Sports is conducting a voluntary recall of its Raptor helmet.

We recently discovered that the chinbar in the Raptor lacrosse helmet may crack or break when impacted with balls traveling in excess of 50 mph. Currently, three Raptor helmets have been returned with a cracked or broken chin bar. No injuries have been reported. The helmet meets NOCSAE safety standards but we are taking action out of an abundance of caution. Easton has notified the U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and is working with the CPSC to address these matters.

We ask that you return the Raptor lacrosse helmet to EastonSports for a full refund.
